IN SHALOM MINISTRIES (SHAM), WE KNOW THAT THE YOUTH ARE THE TODAY AND TOMORROW OF THE NATION AND THE CHURCH

We know that the youth are the future leaders of Rwanda and the Church, who should be well prepared and be given enough opportunities to learn how to make serious and godly decisions in their lives.
We have done this through preparing seminars at the end of every year. We bring together all the youth of our different units and teach them Christian values, Rwandan values and also Shalom Ministries core values through different topics which are specifically chosen for each seminar.
In the seminars, they present to us different things they do in their small units through their talents such us sports, songs, poems and acting Gospel Scriptures in skits. The theme was in 1 TIMOTHY 4,12 Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity. After that, we teach and give them time to ask questions and to discuss in small groups with their fellow youth. In the groups they discussed about four subjects: Drug abuse, HIV/AIDS and STDs, Using social media and pre-marital sex which makes many girls to get unwanted pregnancies.
All these are done with a purpose of building a sustainable future for our ministry as it is in the hands of our youth according to the Scriptures we had as theme; tells the youth to be example in all they do.
